I am a member of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) and served as National Point of Contact (NPoC) for the United Kingdom (UK) (2012-2014) .
In early 2013, I was SGAC’s Winter Intern at their headquarters in Vienna, Austria. There I helped organise the Space Generation Fusion Forum 2013, managed and prepared the SGAC Annual Report, as well as refresh the main website. I also attended the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the UNCOPUOS where I presented the Space Generation Congress 2012 (below, right), and later attended the Legal Subcommittee of the UNCOPUOS.
SGAC works on the international, national and local level to link together university students and young professionals to think creatively about international space policy issues and inject the youth point of view into international space policy creation. The Council has Permanent Observer status in UN COPUOS (United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space) and regularly takes part in the annual meeting, as well as its Legal and Scientific and Technical Subcommittees.
